283 Additional information to be obtained by Secretary (1) The Secretary may request any information (including medical information) kept in relation to an offender from the following— (a) the Governor of a prison within the meaning of the **Corrections Act 1986**; (b) the Commissioner; (c) the DPP; (d) a Regional Manager within the meaning of the **Corrections Act 1986**; (e) an officer within the meaning of Part 9 of the **Corrections Act 1986**. (2) The request must be made for one or more of the following purposes— (a) the preparation of any of the following documents in relation to the offender— (i) an assessment report; (ii) a progress report; (iii) a coordinated services plan; (iv) a treatment and supervision plan; (v) any other report requested by a court for the purposes of this Act; (b) the carrying out of any of the Secretary's functions or duties under this Act. (3) The person to whom a request is made under subsection (1) must provide the information to the Secretary. (4) The Secretary may make the information available for the use of a person preparing a report in accordance with subsection (2).
