279 Order restricting publication of offender's identity (1) In any proceedings before a court under this Act, the court, if satisfied that it is in the public interest to do so, may order that any information that might enable an offender or the offender's location to be identified not be published except in the manner and to the extent (if any) specified in the order. (2) An order under this section may be made on the application of the offender or on the court's own initiative. Section 99(4) requires that an order under this section in respect of an offender who is subject to a supervision order must be reviewed when that supervision order is reviewed.
