45 Variation of public safety order by senior police officer (1) A senior police officer may vary a public safety order. (2) However, a senior police officer may not extend the restriction period of a public safety order unless the extension is in accordance with an authorisation order. (3) In considering whether to vary a public safety order, the senior police officer must have regard to the same matters a senior police officer is required to have regard to in considering whether to make a public safety order. (4) If a senior police officer varies a public safety order, the order as varied is taken to be a public safety order made on the date of the variation.
