### 53 Enforcement of fine by civil process
> > (1) If an offender who has been ordered by a court to pay a fine is in default in payment of that fine, the fine is taken to be a judgment of the Magistrates Court (Civil Division) and enforceable under the [Magistrates Court (Civil Division) Act 1992](/view/html/inforce/2026-04-12/act-1992-027) .
