85D Extension of time for making application (1) A court may, on the application of a person who wishes to apply for a compensation order, extend the time within which an application for a compensation order may be made if it is of the opinion that it is in the interests of justice to do so. (2) A court may extend time under subsection (1) before or after the time expires and whether or not an application for an extension is made before the time expires. (3) A court must not extend time under subsection (1) without giving the offender a reasonable opportunity to be heard on the matter. S. 85E
