108 Penalties for offences may be remitted The Governor may— (a) remit in whole or in part any sum of money which is imposed under any Act as a penalty or forfeiture; and (b) order the discharge from prison of any person who is imprisoned for non-payment of any sum of money so imposed— although that sum is in whole or in part payable to a party other than the Crown.
