### 34 Permits to be returned if certain events occur
> [*\[Section 34 Amended by No. 2 of 2012, s. 77, Applied:01 Jan 2013\]*](/view/html/inforce/2013-01-01/act-2012-002#GS77@EN) A person who holds an SSDS permit must return it to the regulator within 7 days, together with any supplementary documents issued in connection with the permit, if –
>
> > > (a) the permit expires; or
> >
> > > (b) the permit is cancelled under [section 31](#GS31@EN) ; or
> >
> > > (c) the person is issued with an updated permit under [section 29(9)](#GS29@Gs9@EN) or [section 30(2)(b)](#GS30@Gs2@Hpb@EN) ; or
> >
> > > (d) the person is given a replacement permit under [section 33(2)(b)](#GS33@Gs2@Hpb@EN) .

> Penalty: Fine not exceeding 50 penalty units.
