16 Regard may be had to other checks

[Section 16 Amended by No. 2 of 2012, s. 63, Applied:01 Jan 2013] In deciding or considering any matter that the regulator is required to be satisfied of or have regard to for the purposes of section 12 , 13(2) or 14(2) , the regulator may take into account and accept, either wholly or in part, the findings of any background check or other relevant check or inquiry that may have been –

(a) carried out by a corresponding regulator for the purposes of a corresponding Australian law; or

(b) carried out for the purposes of a related State law; or

(c) [Section 16 Amended by No. 2 of 2012, s. 63, Applied:01 Jan 2013] previously carried out by the regulator for the purposes of this Act.
