13 Voluntary surrender of licence—the Act, s 48(2)(e)(i)
(1) A licensee may voluntarily surrender a licence by providing to the Commissioner, a police officer or other approved person the licence together with a written notice indicating the person’s intention to stop being a licensee.
(2) The surrender of a licence under subsection (1) takes effect 28 days after the date the licensee provides the written notice.
