##### 18 Powers of Commission and inspectors appointed under corresponding laws (1) Where, pursuant to a direction given to the Commission under the provisions of a law of a participating State or of a participating Territory that correspond with this Division, the Commission is carrying out an investigation into any matters, the Commission may exercise, in relation to those matters, the powers that it would have if it were carrying out an investigation into those matters under this Division. (2) Where, pursuant to a direction given to the Commission under the provisions of a law of a participating State or of a participating Territory that correspond with this Division, a person has been appointed as an inspector to carry out an investigation into any matters, that person may exercise, in relation to those matters, the powers of an inspector under this Division that he would have if he had been appointed as an inspector under this Division to investigate those matters.
