### 20 Retention of things which are seized > Subject to any contrary order of a court, if a thing is seized under this Act, a police officer is to return it if the reason for its seizure no longer exists or it is decided that it is not to be used in evidence unless the thing is forfeited or forfeitable to the Crown or is the subject of a dispute as to ownership.
