7 Interpretation

In this Act, unless the contrary intention appears:

advisory committee means an advisory committee established under subsection 24(1).

appoint includes re‑appoint.

Board means the Board of the Organisation.

Chairperson means the Chairperson of the Board.

Chief Executive means the Chief Executive of the Organisation.

corporate plan means a corporate plan prepared by the members under section 35 of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013.

Deputy Chairperson means the Deputy Chairperson of the Board.

Finance Minister means the Minister administering the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013.

member means a member of the Board and includes the Chairperson, the Deputy Chairperson and the Chief Executive.

officer means an officer of the Organisation.

Organisation means the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation established under this Act.

Paris Agreement means the Paris Agreement, done at Paris on 12 December 2015, as amended and in force for Australia from time to time.

part‑time member means a member of the Board other than the Chief Executive.
