7Interpretation

#### 7 Interpretation In this Act, unless the contrary intention appears: > advisory committee means an advisory committee established under subsection 24(1). > appoint includes re‑appoint. > Board means the Board of the Organisation. > Chairperson means the Chairperson of the Board. > Chief Executive means the Chief Executive of the Organisation. > corporate plan means a corporate plan prepared by the members under section 35 of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013. > Deputy Chairperson means the Deputy Chairperson of the Board. > Finance Minister means the Minister administering the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013. > member means a member of the Board and includes the Chairperson, the Deputy Chairperson and the Chief Executive. > officer means an officer of the Organisation. > Organisation means the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation established under this Act. > Paris Agreement means the Paris Agreement, done at Paris on 12 December 2015, as amended and in force for Australia from time to time. > Note: The Agreement is in Australian Treaty Series 2016 No. 24 (\[2016\] ATS 24) and could in 2022 be viewed in the Australian Treaties Library on the AustLII website (http://www.austlii.edu.au). > part‑time member means a member of the Board other than the Chief Executive. > science includes technology.
