22Termination of appointment

#### 22 Termination of appointment (1) The Governor‑General may terminate the appointment of a part‑time member by reason of misbehaviour or physical or mental incapacity. (2) If a part‑time member: (a) becomes bankrupt, applies to take the benefit of any law for relief of bankrupt or insolvent debtors, compounds with his or her creditors or makes an assignment of his or her remuneration for their benefit; or (b) is absent, except on leave granted by the Minister, from 3 consecutive meetings of the Board; the Governor‑General may terminate the appointment of the member. > Note: The appointment of a part‑time member may also be terminated under section 30 of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (which deals with terminating the appointment of an accountable authority, or a member of an accountable authority, for contravening general duties of officials).
