Commonwealth legislation
This instrument fixes the ‘specified rate per kilometre’ used under the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 at $0.68 from its commencement and repeals the earlier 2008 notice. It was made by the Attorney‑General under subsection 16(6) of the Act. The change alters the unit amount used to calculate travel reimbursements for persons and agencies operating under the Act, so it affects claimants entitled to travel payments and the bodies that must pay them.
