Commonwealth legislation
This instrument (commencing 1 April 2019) sets the numeric factor used to define “specified number” in subsection 30(3) of the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation (Defence-related Claims) Act 1988 by specifying the number 0.03 and repeals a 1994 notice on the same matter. Mechanically, it changes the parameter used to compute redemption of compensation under the Act, so it affects amounts payable between claimants and the Commonwealth and instructs the administering agency to apply the new figure.
