#### 40 Officer in charge may authorise others to exercise functions 40 Officer in charge may authorise others to exercise functions > > (1) The officer in charge at a fire, incident or other emergency may authorise any officer or member of a rural fire brigade or group of rural fire brigades to exercise all or specified functions under this Act of the officer in charge at a fire, incident or other emergency. > > > (2) Such an authorisation need not be in writing and operates to authorise the exercise of the functions accordingly.
