Royal Women's Hospital Land Act 2012

The Parliament of Victoria enacts:

Part 1—Preliminary

1 Purpose

The main purpose of this Act is to revoke a permanent reservation over land in Carlton, part of which was previously occupied by the Royal Women's Hospital and part of which is currently occupied by the Royal Dental Hospital.

2 Commencement

(1) Subject to subsection (2), this Act comes into operation on a day or days to be proclaimed.

(2) If a provision of this Act does not come into operation before 31 December 2012, it comes into operation on that day.

Part 2—Revocation of Reservation

3 Revocation of reservation—former Royal Women's Hospital land

s. 3

(1) The Order in Council specified in item 1 of the Schedule is revoked to the extent that it applies to Crown Allotment 2008 at Carlton, Parish of Jika Jika, County of Bourke.

(2) To the extent that it has any continuing operation, Crown Grant Volume 1849 Folio 722 is revoked to the extent that it applies to Crown Allotment 2008 at Carlton, Parish of Jika Jika, County of Bourke.

Situation and area of land:	Parish of Jika Jika, County of Bourke, 9202 square metres, being Crown Allotment 2008 at Carlton.
Instrument, date and publication of reservation:	Order in Council dated 30 March 1886, published in the Government Gazette dated 2 April 1886, page 900.
Description of land by reference to Government Gazette:	Government Gazette dated 4 March 1886, page 671.
Particulars of Crown grant:	Crown Grant Volume 1849 Folio 722.
Purpose of reservation:	Site for a Lying-in-Hospital.
Extent of revocation:	Crown Allotment 2008 at Carlton, Parish of Jika Jika, County of Bourke.

Situation and area of land:	Parish of Jika Jika, County of Bourke, 994 square metres, being Crown Allotment 2007 at Carlton.
