New South Wales regulation
The Order (commencing 1 December 2016, to be published in the Gazette) formally declares the listed locations as “areas where high risk rock fishing takes place,” so section 4(1) of the Rock Fishing Safety Act 2016 can operate there. It affects people who fish from rocks in those places and the agencies that implement the Act. The Order itself sets status and commencement only — it does not specify safety rules, enforcement powers, costs or compliance details, which flow from the Act.
