#### 10 Dragging things on road 10 Dragging things on road > > (1) A person must not— > > > > > (a) propel or drag anything along the surface of a road that is capable of causing damage to the road or to any structure or work on the road, fair wear and tear excepted, or > > > > > (b) drive a vehicle with chains on its wheels otherwise than on a road whose surface is covered with mud, snow or ice. > > > > Maximum penalty—10 penalty units. > > > (2) A person must not, except with the permission of the roads authority, drive on a road a vehicle that has caterpillar tracks or that has wheels having spikes, bars or other projections that come into contact with the road surface. > > > > Maximum penalty—20 penalty units.
