62 Transfer of numberplate to another vehicle The road transport authority may transfer the numberplates of a registrable vehicle (the giving vehicle) to another registrable vehicle (the receiving vehicle) if— (a) the registration of the giving vehicle was cancelled following approval of an application to surrender its registration; and (b) if the giving vehicle has 1 registered operator—the same person is (or is to be) the registered operator of the receiving vehicle; and (c) if the giving vehicle has 2 registered operators—the authority is satisfied that each registered operator who can agree to the transfer does agree; and (d) if the receiving vehicle has 2 registered operators—the authority is satisfied that each registered operator who can agree to the transfer does agree.
