43 Recovery of lost or stolen registration certificates If the registered operator of a vehicle recovers the vehicle’s lost or stolen registration certificate, the operator must, as soon as practicable (but within 14 days) after recovering the certificate— (a) tell the road transport authority about the recovery of the certificate; and (b) give the certificate to the authority unless the authority tells the operator that the certificate need not be given to the authority.
