106 Meaning of operator of light combination—pt 6.1 (1) For this part, the operator of a light combination is the registered operator of the first or only motor vehicle forming part of the (2) However, if another person is responsible, or also responsible, for the operation of the combination, the other person is also the operator of the combination for this part. (3) Despite subsections (1) and (2), it is a defence to the prosecution of the registered operator of the motor vehicle for an offence against this part in relation to the combination if, at the relevant time— (a) the registered operator was not solely or partly responsible for the operation of the combination; and (b) another person was, or other persons between them were, solely responsible for the operation of the combination.
