281 Valid demand responsive service ticket required for travel
(1) A person must not travel in a DRS vehicle if the person does not hold
a valid DRS ticket for the travel.
(3) Subsection (1) does not apply if the person has a reasonable excuse.
(4) For subsection (1), if a DRS vehicle uses automatic equipment to read
or record any details in a DRS ticket, a ticket may be validated—
(a) for equipment that is operated by inserting a ticket into the
equipment—by putting the ticket into the automatic equipment
in accordance with any instructions provided by the authorised
operator; or
(b) for equipment operated by passing a ticket near the equipment—
by passing the ticket near the equipment in accordance with any
instructions provided by the authorised operator.
