18 Surrender of accreditation
(1) An accredited person may apply to the road transport authority to
surrender an accreditation held by the person.
(2) The application may be made personally by the person or by an agent
who produces written evidence of the person’s appointment as agent.
(a) return the person’s certificate of accreditation to the road
transport authority; or
(b) if the certificate has been lost, stolen or destroyed—give the
authority a statement verifying that the certificate has been lost,
(4) If the person complies with this section, the road transport authority
suspend or cancel the person’s accreditation.
(5) However, if the person is accredited to operate regular route services,
the road transport authority may approve the application only if each
service contract held by the person has expired or been terminated in
accordance with the contract.
