124 Offence to park taxis on road for longer than 30 minutes
(1) A taxi driver must not park the taxi on a road for longer than
30 minutes, other than in a taxi zone.
(2) The driver does not contravene subsection (1) if—
(a) the vehicle was hired throughout the period when the vehicle
was parked; or
(b) the driver was, throughout the period when the vehicle was
parked, waiting to pick up a person who had hired it before the
beginning of that period; or
(c) the vehicle was parked at the direction, or with the agreement,
of a police officer or authorised person; or
(d) the vehicle was not being operated as a taxi or was not available
for hire.
