Australian Capital Territory regulation
Starting 1 July 2026, this regulation changes the ACT road-transport offences rules by revising a calculation in section 6(2)(b) and replacing a large table of listed offences, penalties, infringement amounts and demerit points. The table covers road users and many transport businesses and operators, including bus, taxi, rideshare, hire-car and light-rail services. It matters because it sets the listed penalty and infringement amounts attached to existing offence provisions.
