#### 71 Weighing devices 71 Weighing devices > > (1) This section applies to a weighing device used for the purpose of determining a wheel load, an axle load or a total mass in accordance with this Part. > > > (2) If the weighing device shows a mass in excess of the weight for which the device has been verified under the [National Measurement Act 1960](http://www.legislation.gov.au/) of the Commonwealth, the load on the device is, for the purposes of this Part, taken to be the weight for which the weighing device has been verified.
