#### 63 Special mass limits 63 Special mass limits > > (1) A roads authority may, by written notice, fix a maximum axle load, maximum loaded mass or other load limit for a vehicle— > > > > > (a) if the provisions of this Part do not apply to the vehicle, or > > > > > (b) in a special case. > > > (2) The notice must be— > > > > > (a) given to the responsible person for the vehicle to which it applies, or > > > > > (b) published in the Gazette or in a local newspaper circulated in the locality to which the notice applies. > > > (3) A load or limit fixed by a notice is taken to be imposed by this Part. > > > (4) A person must not fail to comply with the terms of a notice.
