53 Duration of probationary licences A probationary licence must be issued for the shorter of the following periods: (a) 1 year; (b) if section 52 (1) (c) (ii) or (iii) applies to the person—the difference between 1 year and the period the person has held or held a probationary licence since the end of the disqualification.
