#### 170 Return of identification cards 170 Return of identification cards (cf Gen Act, s 126) > > (1) A person is guilty of an offence if— > > > > > (a) Transport for NSW has issued an identification card to the person, and > > > > > (b) the person was, but has stopped being, an authorised officer, and > > > > > (c) Transport for NSW has requested the person to return the card to Transport for NSW within a specified period, and > > > > > (d) the person did not return the card during the period. > > > > Maximum penalty—20 penalty units. > > > (2) Subsection (1) does not apply if the person has a reasonable excuse. > > > (3) The onus of proof of reasonable excuse in proceedings for an offence against this section lies on the defendant.
