68 Label to be affixed to electric-powered vehicle An electric-powered vehicle must have fixed conspicuously to each number plate— (a) in the case of a heavy vehicle, a label that complies with Vehicle Standards Guide 27—Labelling requirements for Hydrogen and Electric-powered vehicles, published from time to time by the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator; or (b) in the case of a light vehicle, a label that complies with clause 144B of Schedule 1. Regulations 47A and 47B of the Road Safety (Vehicles) Interim Regulations 2020 continue to have effect in relation to labels that were affixed to the front and rear number plates of electric powered passenger cars and hybrid vehicles before the revocation of those Regulations—see section 28(2)(e) of the **Interpretation of Legislation Act 1984**.
