36 Form and issue of VASS approval certificate (1) A VASS approval certificate must be in the approved form. (2) An authorised vehicle inspector must not issue a VASS approval certificate for the purposes of regulation 35 unless— (a) the vehicle has been inspected in accordance with the guidelines made under regulation 9(2) and written directions given under regulation 12; and (b) records of the inspection of the vehicle are kept in accordance with the guidelines made under regulation 9(2) and written directions given under regulation 12.
