300 Requirements for hazardous area authority
(1) A person may apply to the Secretary for the issue of a hazardous area authority.
(2) The Secretary may require an applicant for a hazardous area authority to pass any test and hold any qualification specified by the Secretary that relates to the applicant's fitness to use a relevant vehicle in a hazardous area.
(3) The Secretary may issue a hazardous area authority for any period up to 6 years to an applicant who passes the tests and holds the qualifications (if any) required under subregulation (2).
