284 Offence for vehicle to travel where clearance restriction would be exceeded
(1) A person must not use a vehicle on a highway to travel or attempt to travel beneath any cable, wire, tree or overhead structure (other than a structure referred to in regulation 283(1)) if there is less than 200 millimetres clearance to the highest point of the vehicle.
(2) The registered operator of a vehicle must take reasonable steps to ensure that the vehicle is not used on a highway in contravention of subregulation (1).
(3) A person other than a person referred to in subregulation (1) or (2) must not cause or permit a vehicle to be used on a highway in contravention of subregulation (1).
