130 Procedure for suspension (1) If the Secretary suspends the registration of a vehicle under regulation 129, the Secretary must give the registered operator a written notice stating— (a) the reasons for the suspension; and (b) the date on which the suspension takes effect; and (c) the action, if any, to be taken by the registered operator— (i) to avoid cancellation of registration of the vehicle; or (ii) to have the suspension lifted; and (d) the date by which the action must be taken (which must be at least 14 days after the date of the notice); and (e) the registered operator's rights to internal and external review of the Secretary's decision under Division 12 of this Part. (2) A notice under subregulation (1) may state that if the action referred to in subregulation (1)(c) is not taken by the date referred to in subregulation (1)(d), the Secretary may cancel the registration of the vehicle. (3) Subregulation (1) does not apply if the Secretary has not been given the name and residential, business or email address of any proposed acquirer of the vehicle.
