6A Driving with prescribed illicit drug in blood

(1)  [Section 6A Subsection (1) amended by No. 38 of 2017, s. 11, Applied:03 Dec 2018] Subject to subsection (2) , a person who drives a motor vehicle while a prescribed illicit drug is present in his or her blood or oral fluid is guilty of an offence.[Section 6A Subsection (1) amended by No. 84 of 2009, s. 4, Applied:01 Jan 2010]

(2)  A person does not commit an offence against subsection (1) if the prescribed illicit drug was obtained and administered in accordance with the Poisons Act 1971 .
