47 Purposes of this Part The purposes of this Part are to— (a) reduce the number of motor vehicle collisions of which alcohol or other drugs are a cause; and (b) reduce the number of drivers whose driving is impaired by alcohol or other drugs; and S. 47(c) amended by Nos 94/2003 s. 8(2), 111/2003 s. 5(a). (c) provide a simple and effective means of establishing that there is present in the blood or breath of a driver more than the legal limit of alcohol; and S. 47(d) inserted by No. 111/2003 s. 5(b).
