177Multiple offenders

177 Multiple offenders (1) This section applies if more than one person is liable to be found guilty of an offence in respect of the breach of a mass, dimension or load restraint limit or requirement in relation to a vehicle. (2) Proceedings may be taken against all or any of those liable in relation to the breach. (3) Proceedings may be taken against any of those liable in relation to the breach— (a) regardless of whether or not proceedings have been commenced against anyone else; and (b) if proceedings have started against anyone else, regardless of whether or not those proceedings have finished; and (c) if proceedings have finished against anyone else, regardless of the outcome of those proceedings.
