sec.53 Remuneration and conditions
The commissioner is to be paid the remuneration and other allowances decided by the Governor in Council. The remuneration must not be reduced during the commissioner’s term of office without the commissioner’s written consent. The commissioner holds office on the terms and conditions, not provided for by this Act, that are decided by the Governor in Council.
