This notice declares the period from the COVID‑19 emergency day until 30 June 2020 to be a “shorter period” for the purposes of section 56 of the Residential Tenancy Act 1997. It changes how the Act’s time-based rules tied to that provision apply to residential tenancy relationships. This notice takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.
