This Act, the Residential Tenancy Amendment (Pets) Act 2025, amends the Residential Tenancy Act 1997 to change tenancy law; the excerpt here does not set out the substantive amendments. Mechanically it commences by proclamation (s2), its changes are incorporated into the authorised version of the Principal Act (ss4–6), and it repeals itself one year after the last uncommenced provision starts (s7). The executive chooses start dates; landlords and tenants under the Principal Act bear the compliance effects.
