#### 18 Reimbursement for repair or replacement of smoke alarm by tenant—s 64A of Act 18 Reimbursement for repair or replacement of smoke alarm by tenant—s 64A of Act > > (1) For the purposes of section 64A(3) of the Act, a tenant who carries out a repair to, or replacement of, a smoke alarm in accordance with clause 15, 16 or 17 is entitled to reimbursement from the landlord within 7 days after the tenant has given the landlord written notice. > > > (2) The written notice specified under subclause (1) must— > > > > > (a) set out details of the repair or replacement the tenant has carried out and the cost of the repair or replacement, and > > > > > (b) be accompanied by receipts or invoices, or copies of receipts or invoices, for the repair or replacement paid for by the tenant, and > > > > > (c) be given to the landlord or the landlord’s agent as soon as practicable after the repair or replacement was carried out.
