158 Regulations (1) The Administrator may make regulations under this Act. (2) Without limiting the generality of subsection (1), the Regulations may: (a) prescribe that provisions of this Act do not apply to a specified class of tenancy agreements or a specified class of premises; and (b) modify specified provisions of this Act in their application to a specified class of tenancy agreements or a specified class of premises; and (c) prescribe terms that are to be implied, or expressly included, in tenancy agreements or a class of tenancy agreements; and Residential Tenancies Act 1999 99 (d) prescribe a penalty of not more than 20 penalty units for breach of a regulation; and (e) prescribe an offence against the Regulations to be a regulatory offence; and (f) provide for the payment of a prescribed amount instead of a penalty that may otherwise be imposed for an offence against this Act or regulations made under this Act and for the service of a notice relating to payment of the amount on a person alleged to have committed the offence and the particulars to be included in that notice; and (g) prescribe the service of notices on persons alleged to have infringed this Act or the Regulations and particulars to be included in such notices.
