22 Consecutive tenancy agreements
(a) a bond is being held in relation to a residential tenancy
agreement that terminates or is terminated; and
(b) 1 or more tenants under the terminated agreement continue to
occupy the premises under a consecutive tenancy agreement.
(2) The lessor must not require or accept a bond in relation to the
consecutive tenancy agreement unless a bond release application has
been made under division 3.4 (Release of bond money) in relation to
the bond for the terminated agreement.
(3) If a bond release application is not made under division 3.4 in relation
to the bond for the terminated agreement, the bond held in relation to
the agreement is taken to be a bond paid under the consecutive
