#### 56A Publicity orders 56A Publicity orders > > (1) If a person is convicted by a court of an offence under this Act or the regulations, the court may order the person to take specified action to publicise— > > > > > (a) the offence, including the circumstances of the offence, and > > > > > (b) the consequences of the offence, and > > > > > (c) a prohibition order, building work rectification order or stop work order made in connection with the person, and > > > > > (d) a penalty imposed on the person under this Act or the regulations. > > > (2) The court may, in the order, fix a period for compliance and impose other requirements the court considers necessary or expedient for enforcement of the order. > > > (3) If a person fails to comply with an order, the prosecutor or a person authorised by the prosecutor may take action to carry out the order as far as may be practicable, including action to publicise the failure to comply with the order. > > > (4) The reasonable cost of taking action referred to in subsection (3) is recoverable by the prosecutor or person taking the action, in a court of competent jurisdiction, as a debt from the person. > > **s 56A:** Ins 2021 No 23, Sch 1.12\[9\].
