#### 13 Appointment of authorised officers 13 Appointment of authorised officers > The Secretary may appoint any of the following persons as an authorised officer for the purposes of this Part— > > > (a) an employee of the Department, > > > (b) a person who is an investigator within the meaning of the [Fair Trading Act 1987](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1987-068), > > > (c) a person who is a council investigation officer within the meaning of Division 9.2 of the [Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1979-203), > > > (d) a person belonging to a class of persons prescribed by the regulations.
