107Appointment of authorised officers

#### 107 Appointment of authorised officers (1) The Regulator may, in writing, appoint a member of the staff of the Regulator to be an authorised officer for the purposes of this Part. (1A) The Regulator may, in writing, also appoint any of the following persons to be an authorised officer for the purposes of this Part: (a) any other person who is appointed or employed by the Commonwealth; (b) a person who is appointed or employed by a State or a Territory. (2) The Regulator is not to appoint a person as an authorised officer unless the Regulator is satisfied that the person is of sufficient maturity, and has had sufficient training, to properly exercise the powers of an authorised officer. (3) In exercising powers or performing functions as an authorised officer, an authorised officer must comply with any directions of the Regulator.
