17 Accompanied accommodation costs

If: (a) the Commonwealth meets the travel costs of the office holder’s spouse or de facto partner accompanying the office holder in accordance with section 13 (accompanied travel); and (b) evidence is provided that there is a difference in cost between a single and double room in the commercial accommodation used; the amount of the difference is to be added to the amount of travel allowance that would otherwise be paid.
