### 34 Transfer of proceedings from Supreme Court > > (1)  The Supreme Court may transfer any proceedings under this Act relating to an interest in property to the Magistrates Court if – > > > > > > (a) the value of that interest is less than or equal to the amount prescribed under section 7 of the [Magistrates Court (Civil Division) Act 1992](/view/html/inforce/2026-04-12/act-1992-027) ; or > > > > > > > (b) the value of that interest is in excess of that prescribed amount and the parties agree to the Magistrates Court hearing and determining the proceedings. > > > (2)  The Supreme Court may transfer any proceedings under this Act relating to maintenance.
