sec.137 Accountability of rail safety officers
A rail safety officer must give written notice to the Regulator of all interests, pecuniary or otherwise, that the officer has, or acquires, and that conflict or could conflict with the proper exercise of the officer’s functions. The Regulator must give a direction to a rail safety officer not to deal, or to no longer deal, with a matter if the Regulator becomes aware that the officer has a potential conflict of interest in relation to a matter and the Regulator considers that the officer should not deal, or should no longer deal, with the matter.
